Arthur H. Poore
Arthur H. Poore is an artist of many talents. Arthur’s creative paintings of contemporary fantasy display a witty and intelligent view of America. He is an award-winning painter, sculptor, actor, writer, multi-instrumental musician, puppeteer, film-maker and more. While pursuing his art of puppetry and painting, Arthur was a New York City Firefighter from 1981 thru 2004 and a 9/11 Rescue Worker. Sixty years a puppeteer, Arthur and his late wife and partner Julianne, founded Dreamlike Puppet Co, and toured their original shows in the New York City area between 1989 and 2008. Later he was Director of the Mid-Atlantic Region of Puppeteers of America from 2014-2018. Arthur performs his puppetry solo and continues to create his exact, playful, colorful and serious paintings.
